Royal Mail changes PPI (Printed Postage Impression)
After much debate and furore last year, Royal Mail has confirmed that it is changing its PPI (Postage Paid Impression) to include the words ‘Delivered by Royal Mail’.
The design, which appears in the top right-hand corner of the envelope (in place of a stamp) will become a means of self-promotion for Britain’s largest postal service.
The new PPI becomes effective on June 23rd 2012. The good news is that customers have a 6 month grace period to use up existing stocks. The bad news? You only have six months to use up existing stocks – the grace period ends on 23rd January 2013.
